you know the last time I was in Bangor, I wanted to tour the place, just didn't have the time. Lovely exterior. Is Bangor starting to revitalize/rehabilitate its downtown area?

Yeah, government's pumping a lot of money into the waterfront, and put a children's museum in the old Frieze's Building.

The Opera House itself is in the middle of a long, long, long restoration project. They restored the façade and installed a new marquee (picture attached). The lobby was also redone and new (MAHOGANY!) doors were installed. Unfortunately, the house, balcony and backstage are in dire need of revitalization but apparently that's coming...
