I've been lurking for a while, but I finally decided to join! I'm one of the tech guys at a church with a more 'contemporary' style in Massaschusetts; I've run sound for almost 8 years now in two different churches, so that's the side of things I'm most comfortable with. But I've become involved more with the lighting and video projection end of things, and I've sort of become the 'lighting designer' for the church (the person that originally ran the lights isn't around anymore). Learning the lighting on my own has been interesting, although I'm getting there and I really enjoy it now that I (kind of) know what I'm doing.
So, I wanted to say thanks to everyone here at ControlBooth -- this site's been a huge help in the process.
