New Member, been in the biz in various ways since the late eighties, first in theatre, then in film and tv for 17 years, now back to the theatre world for my golden years. I have a question for everyone, what is your opinion of a tension grid, the architects are working on plans for an addition to our theatre, and they have specced a tension grid. I worked at a school that had one, it was great for liability for students, but i found it a bit impractical, thoughts?

Welcome Matthew! Glad to have you here with us. Tension grids in educational settings can be great thing. You will want to repost your question in the appropriate forum. Give us more information about what kind of events the facility will host, what sort of space and budget the architect is working with, and other info so we can better respond to your question.
