Re: hi all, new to controlbooth and have a question, how to unstrike lamps in showcad
"Unstriking", also known as "Lamping off", usually involves taking the Control
Channel of the
fixture (s) in question to a specific value, and leaving it there for a specific amount of time, 3-10 seconds, or similar. Some lights require a multi-step process: close the
douser/
shutter, then issue the command on the control
channel, then do something else. You didn't state your control
system (or maybe you did--never heard of
ShowCAD), but if it allows
macro s, that's a good way to automate the process. Look in the User
Manual for details on your particular
instrument s. Some lights will also unstrike if they lose
DMX after a specified period. Others will simply
hold last look upon loss of
DMX.
