Hi my name is John and i have recently graduated from college in london.
I am interested in the lighting and am currently getting ready to programme a show on a strand 530i lighting desk.
One quick question (i know it is early on). Patching scrollers.
I understand the syntax of eg. 23 @patch 50 @ATT 15 * for assigning the number of colours in the scroller.
However, how does the desk know that that specific scroller is for that lantern?
I thought about setting the address on the scroller to the same as the lantern but surely, as soon as you adjust the intensity of the lantern, the frame of the scroller would alter aswell.
What I am basically asking is how do you set up a lantern and a scroller (including DMX addressing the unit) and patch it to a strand 530i as an attribute of the lantern.
