I thought this was detachable? It feels like the speaker won't come off the stand no matter what I do...

.....they should be ... that said... a my standard mic stand diameters are to big and i use a smaller diameter boom arms just up right and full collapsed to put them on. Perhaps it's worth "warming" it up just a bit and see if your stand will shring a little?

Are you using the mic stand adapters that come with them? They thread on to a standard mic stand thread, and the post of the adapters fit on perfectly into the receiving holes in the speaker itself.

I didn't pull hard enough. They aren't mine and I found out they (people I"m borrowing them from) intentionally bent the threads into a squarish shape to prevent the hot spot from falling off...

But yes, I got them off. Thanks.
