How to unlock very old Strand Environ 2 stations?

This is very much a last ditch effort... looking for anyone that may have a programming manual or ancient tribal knowledge of old Strand Environ 2 architectural control systems.

Attached images of the panel / "Program Module" where all the wall stations are tied in and an example of one of the wall stations.

The system allows you to "lock out" stations (i.e. to prevent guests in the venue from bringing up house lights during show, etc). There is a main control station with a display that allows you to type in a station number and enter a lock code.

Currently, most of the stations are locked out, and when attempting to adjust a preset, the screen reads "PRE-ONLY" (station can only be used to change presets in the current lock mode).

Looking for any tips/manuals on the unlocking procedure, and/or understanding what the output signal is of the Program Module that goes to a pair of CD80 dimmer racks, to just bypass the architectural system altogether and control the dimmers with AMX192 or something.

Will look these over. Thanks!

For the CD80, this system appears to be configured in such a way that the Environ system controls a section of dimmers in one of the CD80 racks that run house lights. So I’m assuming a couple of the ramp cards are receiving the environ control signal instead of the console signal.

Trying to determine if the output from Environ is AMX192 and whether there is already a switch or easy conn change that can change those house light dimmers over to the same AMX192 line that drives the rest of the racks - making house lights console controllable.

Either way, getting unlocked is a huge step - console controllable would be icing on the cake.

the MUX Out is on terminals 29,30,31 and 32 on the terminaton board ck+,ck-,analog, com
what ellse is running the CD 80 racks
what dimmers does the Environ control

Fantastic info, thanks! The rest of the CD80 racks appear to be Console -> DMX -> AMX192 converter -> CD80. Not familiar enough with the ramp cards to understand how the AMX192 control is divvied up between them...

This is a major long shot responding to a VERY old thread, but Ron Foley, are you still on board?

Asking because we have a similar Environ system controlling house lights in the concert hall at the University of Nevada, Reno and the controller in our light booth has stopped working. Wondering if it is feasible to have it repaired or replaced or if we need to buy new dimmer packs and start from scratch, more or less.

Thanks!

@pbansen Contact Sean Johnson at Johnson Systems (NOT Johnson Controls) in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. .
Sean builds Strand replacements better than Strand's Originals.

yes still on board
send me an e mail [email protected] or call 519-837-0583
we have Outlook stations , and can also replace the processors.

Wow!! Thanks to the Rons for your responses - to say that it is encouraging (perhaps false confidence, but it feels good) would be an understatement!
I'll have my boss get in touch in the hope that we can reactivate our control room panel for the house lights.

Best wishes,
