Yes, you could re-lamp to the EHR and realize 2000 hours of rated lamp life but you'll have to more than double the number of fixtures to achieve the same light levels that the FAD offers. Doubling 400w fixtures substantially increases your electrical energy load which over the long run ends up costing you even more money.

We need to look at the long term, both in initial investment and in energy savings. Not to is simply insane IMHO.
