Leprecon LP 1536 HELP !!

We had to dig out one of our old consoles last night and seem to be having a issue that is really pissing me off . It is a Leprecon LP1536 , when the console is powered down it looses all its settings and has to be erased before it will start behaving properly . Its really strange as when you turn it on it acts like its locked up showing faders activated that are not . Once we erase everything on the board it works flawlessly , I have replaced the battery and still behaves this way . Any ideas ????

Do you get any ROM or RAM errors when you startup or erase the board?

My guess would have been the battery, but you say you've changed that. Did you check that the battery was good before you put it in? Metered for voltage?
