Lite Puter dx 610 dimmer

Touring right now with a theatre group and i got the tour rig handed over to me with a dimmer that's acting up. Very small show, for children ages 3-10 played in classrooms/kindergardens so 6 dimmer channels are all we use. On a kind-of exsisting budget there's more space for repairs than new buys.

The dimmer is a Lite Puter dx 610 and has the following problems: when you use the faders on the dimmer they get stuck in 100% even though you put all faders in the bottom. The dmx controll works as long as you don't touch the faders. Sometimes though, it starts in the f***ed up mode with a channel on full.

I would replace the motherboard but before I spend any money, I'd like to know if anyone has a better quickfix or some basic magic to enlighten me with? Might just buy a new/used dimmer I guess, but the budget is tight.

You might pop the lid open and check for a loose ribbon cable that connects the slider PC board to other circuitry.

The "stuck on full" might mean a blown SCR/Triac/SSR or whatever they are using to switch power.
