Not at all, it is a design tool. Because on the strand you can assign a delay to either the upfade or downfade (or both) of a cue or part cue. So like my example before, maybe you want the current scene to fade out before the new one starts fading up, you put a delay on the upfade. Or if you want the new scene to fade up before the old scene fades out, you put a delay on the downfade.
Or maybe you have a part cue and you want part 2 to start 15 seconds after part one, so you just put a delay of 15 on part 2 so that when you push GO, part 1 starts and then 15 seconds later part 2 starts.
