Wow. Pretty impressive maneuver, but no way was that worth the risk. Gotta admire his can-do attitude though.
 
I'm still not entirely certain how he got up.

The lift looks to be much higher in the second shot, I would guess he stayed where he was in the first shot until he could grab on to something in the overhead and then climb to the top rail of the lift with his feet, while the operator raised it even more.

I had an old scoutmaster who often said bravery and stupidity are one in the same.
 
He got down same way he got up. Apparently this was easier than moving a few stage decks.

I figured as much, but going up you are at least able to grasp things with your hands. On the way down, you've gotta have a lot of confidence in your feet and shoes to grip onto stuff. Especially with your head in the clouds and no seemingly good hand holds.
