Hello!
I'm a hobbyist who helped to light the local pantomime 3 years ago and have become hooked! I live in Devon in the UK.
I now do the sound and lighting for about 3 charity productions a year - a pantomime, a comedy and a variety show. It's a very small affair (LC2412 desk with 12 fittings), but I enjoy it and have been installing permanent, shielded cables (using 3 pin mic cable until now!) and have been gradually switching the hall from incandescent to led lighting on a budget.
I have a big interest in electronics anyway and so have been reading up on DMX and a long term goal is to build my own desk.
Thanks for the helpful forums and I look forward to joining in!
