1. A tech colloquialism often found on pieces of tape to mark damaged, defunct, broken or otherwise un-usable gear etc.. Either this marked item or items need to be looked at, fixed, or occasionally they are fit for the dumpster.
Generally it is a warning NOT to use the item before repaired.

Officially, NFG stands for "non-functional goods," though there are other variations.

A more polite alternative for marking broken items is "OPEN ME", or perhaps "FIX ME", or even "REPAIR". However NFG will continue to be use as it is much shorter, recognizable and colourful.

If you are told something is NFG, PLEASE DO NOT USE IT.

If you are working in a shop and gear comes back labeled NFG, please set it aside to be repaired before it goes out again.

2. Next Flight Guaranteed, a term used in the air industry to indicated an expedited shipment.
