Hi All,
So today I was handed over our brand new LED school lighting system! It's been a long time coming so here it is. It's not that fancy, but here we go:
FOH: 8x LED PAR, 4x LED Moving Head GLP-Volkslicht
GLP Volkslicht:
We may soon get 8 more LED PAR on the US truss.
Now it works alright, simple to operate; but I am quite disappointed with the colors and output of the LED's. It's quite weak, and hard to get a white. Regardless the GLP Volkslicht is a good fixture. Also the height of the FOH Truss means a big shadow is cast on our rear tabs/cyc cause of the borders (this is the reason for our possible 8 new LED pars).
Also the FOH Truss is enclosed in a big "cage" style thing to prevent basketballs hitting the fixtures. Luckily it doesn't impede the beam too much. The only other thing I don't like is the controller (Studio Due Control 5); the joystick is TERRIBLY sensitive and coarse.
Studio Due Control 5:
Anyone with tips for this system?
Thanks,
Scott
