Pebbled Plexi Alternatives

Hello, We are currently in pre production for the Importance of Being Ernest. Our designer has created a massive sky pannel unit that moves.
He has called out for pebbled plexi to fill in the unit but right now it seems like that is not in our budget.
Would anyone happen to know good alternatives or great places to purchase and ship plexi or plastic panels?
The panels are all within 2x4 size so smaller panels would work. or bigger panels that can be cut to size would be great as well.

You can get pebbled twin-wall polycarbonate (used for greenhouses) that's more affordable than acrylic sheets.

See, that's what I thought; and I couldn't imagine that stuff was that expensive, especially in case-lots.
