Sound system is up and running - recommendations for monitor speakers or?

We tried out the sound system.

We currently have two 12 channel snakes with 4 sends going into a 24.4 Mackie mixer board. The feed from the board is going into a 600 W Carvin amp with 2 channels. We borrowed two 300 W Nady speakers in the meantime. We've got two large Yamaha speakers under the stage acting as subwoofers. What we have up sounds really good.

We need monitor speakers.
We need a monitor amp.
We need a subwoofer amp.

We've got four available sends back to the stage to supply signal for monitors.

So - monitor speakers and amplifier or powered monitor speakers?

What would be a reasonable subwoofer amp?

Are the Yamaha speakers actually subwoofers or just larger speakers? What are you doing for a crossover for the subwoofers? Have you tried the subs to see if the location under the stage results in any resonances or issues with feedback?

What are your needs for monitors? Do you need floor monitors for bands, monitors for music playback for dance, monitors for talkback to the stage or what? Are there power and audio connectivity where the monitors would be located or will they require audio and possibly power cords laying on the stage? You mentioned having four feeds to the stage for monitors, do you have space and power for any related amps at the stage?

What do you have as far as FOH system and monitor processing? Do you have any equalization for the FOH system and/or monitors?

Yamaha speakers are just larger speakers and speaker cabinets. Quite heavy. We have tried (with a borrowed amp and crossover). No issues with resonances or feedback. Bass response is quite good. Tried with a few classical pieces (from Strauss to Stravinsky).

Monitor needs are for bands and playback for dances. We have the snakes located at the sides of the wall on the stairs going up to the stage. I have power beneath the stage apron and ample space beneath the stage in the pit.

Don't have anything for FOH system and monitor processing or equalization, so I guess we'll nee that.
