    1. Specific set of feeder having one bare end and one connector installed on each conductor, usually ten feet or less in length. The bare end is connected to a lug inside a Company Switch/disconnect. Tails are unnecessary if the venue has supply Cam-Loks installed.

    2. May also refer in some regions to a multicore fan-out.

    3. The singular form, tail, is often used synonymously with a fixture's whip or cord.
