We are all about portable stuff here at our venue. As we have outside attractions. Well a few weeks ago I went to Ringling and in the ticket sales area there was a lady selling the books before you go into the show. She had a headset on with just a black megaphone looking thing sitting a few feet from her.

Anyone got a name for that. I tried headset megaphone , hands free, etc etc. All I seem to be coming up with is 10 and 12w voice amplifiers That clip to your belt or wrist. However this thing almost looked megaphone in shape but black.

Yeah it looked similar to that but she had a wireless headset on. I wonder if it used that plus a wireless adapter setup.

Wow, that sucks! Those things were darn near indestructible and the parts that weren't (battery, horns, etc) were off the shelf parts. The range on the wireless packs were fantastic too. In my previous life as a band director I used the Anchor one and the Long Ranger and there was no comparison. The Anchor wouldn't have even been a decent boat anchor (at least that model and this was 7-8 years ago).

I already have horns and a wireless mic from the first attempt.This one looks like I could take the horn off and keep it as a backup as all I really need is something that is small portable and runs off batteries And is a tank and can take the beating of people and weather. I am stuck on weather to get the one with a built in wireless or use what I have as it was quite cheap.
