What should they know?

Golly, I wonder if there is a meme or something that has a Humble Pie recipe? Carry on.

Now I've gone down the rabbit hole. Apparently "Eat humble pie" is a very English expression and is a bit of a pun because the poor would make pies from the viscera (or, "umbles") of animals. So it was a very humble meal of umbles. This is weird to me because the American version of this expression is "eat crow" which is also pretty unpalatable. But I've heard Americans say "humble pie" way more than I've ever heard "eat crow".
