I worked in a hotel rebuilt in 2012. The number of guest calls (I was in maintenance) complaining of "broken outlets" could fill a book. They felt the tamper shutters and gave up...

Funny thing is, they are useless for safety compared to the absolutely ancient UK shutter design.

After several uses they become far too easy to plug into.

I have a hunch you are more likely to zap yourself from your fingers slipping forward onto the prongs than anything else... (When the units are new)
