wireless mics snd makeup

We are doing a heavy makeup show with borrowed paddle mics. They are mounted to halos and the actors put them on last, but the still bump the face in performance. I have heard you can cut a small piece of a condom and wrap the element with a dental rubber band to protect them.
Any suggestions?
Can you clean them if makeup gets in the element on the paddle?

What make/model are these mics? I've never heard the term "paddle mic" before.
