Mrs. Footer, You are most likely not going to like what I am about to say, but the simple fact is, you must take care of yourself, because no one else is going to do it for you. As professionals in an industry that makes incredible demands on our time and our bodies, we MUST take care of...

    Riding an A-Frame Extension Ladder

Just a shade off topic, but what about the circus type wire/rope ladders that must be climbed when going up into the trusses to operate a truss follow spot? What sort of regulation is on those units or is there any?

    Stage Floor

You might also wish to consider doing a really good job of "herring-bone" type bracing under the percussion area, so your drummer doesn't bounce.

    Riding an A-Frame Extension Ladder

I have been reading all of this with great interest and it seems that unlike everyone else on this board, I am a fan of A-frames. Lack of Gels

As Kelite stated, "White light IS a color and your ARE allowed to use it", he is so correct. In my concert hall, I am required to use white/NC for 90% of what I have on stage. It seems that symphony musicians are allergic to any color of light other than white. Put simply, white light makes...

    What would you expect?

Sorry that you did not get the job, but keep looking and as Ship said, "Keep learning". This points to an issue that I think all who want to work in this industry should think about. Just a lighting guy/girl....just a sound guy/girl....why not do both sound and lights? The more that you...

What is your favorite button on any lighting console?

Personally, I like the "OFF" function of the O-N/O-F-F- function switch, because when I hit it, I know that work is over and I am on my way home.
