I need to use a Chauvet Hurricane in our black box.Problem is, the fan is pretty damn loud. Any suggestions on how to quiet it down?
Any thoughts on how to attach such a system?
Well I would start with modding the front of the hazer to accept some sort of hose attachment.

The front of the 3d has enough screws where you could make a decent seal. The baffle is so you do get back flow and condensation back in the hazer and clog it up. When I built my last one it was for a Le Maitre fogger with a chiller and it pumped out a lot of fog. Our baffle box was a 1' box. You will have to do the math and find out how much volume you output and that will determine your baffle box size and the travel of your hose. If it has to go a longer distance then your looking at throwing in a fan to help push the haze and making it even more complicated.
From videos on YouTube it looks like it pumps out a moderate amount I would say Make a box between 6 and 8 inches and your going to want to keep it pretty close to the hazer, no more then 2 feet.
I can get it pretty dense. We just finished final dress for "Grease" which opens tomorrow night. Show came down 5 minutes ago, front door has been wide open, and there is still a pretty good layer of haze hanging in the air.I'm in a black box that holds air pretty well. How is the density when you do get it to stay?
