Wow, that's actually much cheaper than I thought it would be. I figured it was more in the 100k range, especially since you need fiber, and a bad boy to go with it. For 35k it's almost reasonable. The coolest product I'll never specify. Somewhere around $35,000 to purchase and $800/week rental. Much improved over the Izenour remote control followspot.
I missed it my first time around, but went back to find it today. Yes, Osram has a full color LED Fresnel. It's small, with a 3 to 4 inch lens. It's got nice color. It was set up on an automated color changing routine so I couldn't test how well it dims or tell you what it looks like when mixing white. It's got a nice zoom and a decent amount of punch for it's size. It's definitely not a substitute for an 8" Fresnel. But it would be great on a small stage for a short throw, truss warmers, or in a variety of architectural and museum applications. Hopefully Osram will give us something bigger and brighter in the future. They were demoing some screaming bright white LED chips for manufacturers to consider for future products. These things were tiny and really amazing.Wait, did anyone check out the osram/Sylvania rgbw Fresnel?
We shot demo video with PRG Ground Control, the ETC wing panels, the latest from Pathway, and Avo's Titan software and console line. As well as a few still shots of other products we really liked. Give @dvsDave a few days to get home and edit the video.Did anyone get pictures of the fixture itself?
Did anyone get pictures of the fixture itself?
Should have been more specific, ment the light fixture, but that does show that they had it above the control station at their booth.
Even better!
Why a picture of the light? It's just a bad boy with a camera on it and some changes internally.
I do find it funny that they're talking about saving space in the truck by going this route. A bad boy case is pretty big by itself, by the time you throw in the controller and everything else it's going to take up just as much room as a standard follow spot.
Here's the thread with our product demo video. Note we didn't get any shots of the spot itself, but there was nothing to see. It was a bad boy with a small camera on it.Did anyone get pictures of the fixture itself?
