Automated Fixtures Working with intelligent lighting in Vectorworks

I was wondering if anyone as any suggestions to speed up working with intelligent lights in vectorworks. Particularly when rendering them. The way I'm doing it now is changing the focus points on them almost every render, so it takes about 5 minutes to just change the focus points on all of them. Not to mention the colors and gobos. I was wondering if there was a faster way of doing this in Vectorworks before I go and spend the money on wyg or ESP Vision.

Also I was wondering if I'm just missing something or if there is another way to adjust the iris on intelligent lights that have them in vectorworks, such as the VL1K, which I could have sworn had an iris the last time I used it for a production, but I couldn't find an easy way to change the beam diameter without manually changing the beam and field degrees in the properties editor.

I believe that is the only way, there is no controller or pallets as far as I remember with vectorworks like there is with WYG, though I have not touched vectorworks in a long time.

It depends on the VL1000 that you have. It came in 4 models, a TS, TI, AS, and AI. If you have shutters, you do not have an iris, and vice versa.

The best way to work with ML's in VW is to pick up a copy of ESPVision to help you render them.
