Hey!

Light Talk Podcast hosted by the self titled 'Lumen Brothers' Lighting Designers & Professors David Jacques, Stan Kaye, and Steve Woods

http://lighttalk.libsyn.com/

I just wanted to throw this out and see how many others have listened to this podcast.

I think its great!

Anyone?

Me!

I've been listening to them since the Fred Foster interview last June, and have been slowly working my way through the older episodes between my other podcasts. They have some great discussions, and aren't afraid to call out issues along the way. There are some really fascinating interviews from all sorts of fine folks.

I had been looking for a tech focused podcast ever since I finished going through The Cue, who unfortunately stopped recording a few years back, and the brothers are now filling that space.

Is it as entertaining as "Car Talk" on NPR?

Just checked this out and it is fantastic! Ditto on the Fred Foster interview; the one before with Gordon Pearlman (inventor of LS-8 used in Chorus Line, Kliegl Performer, ET Horizon, etc, etc.) is almost better due to discussing very early days of computer lighting control.

@rsmentele Loved it, LOVED IT, LOVED IT! Listened for about 3 hours even though it's after one a.m. local time.
I have a question, who was Anne in episode 91 I believe it was? I was hoping for Anne Valentino but I don't believe I ever caught Anne's surname.

Never listened to much 'Car Talk' but the premise is the same, just about Lighting and Theater. Tons of great conversations, ideas, recommendations, exc.

That would be Anne E McMills. She is a fairly prevalent ALD and author http://www.annemcmillslighting.com/about-me.html

They do interview Anne Valentino and Sarah Clausen in Episode 74

Other notable interviews, Don Holder, Eric Loader, R. Michael Clark, Al Crawford, Driscoll Otto and as previously mentioned, Fred Foster.
