batten hanging from spanset, stop spinning!

I need to drop a temporary batten from a pair of established rig points.
Points are rated at 1,000 each.
10' schedule 40 pipe.
There will be 3 Source4 ellipsoidals on the batten.
My initial thinking was to use a pair of (steel-core) spansets, "choked" on the batten.
But....
The lights will be hung at different angles, and I'm thinking the batten will "rotate" in the choke.
I'm puzzling over a couple things with cheeseboroughs & 6" nipples so the batten can't spin.
Suggestions?

Three of these, shackles and some steel cable.

Assuming of course that your existing point is a proper bridle or basket.

I have those couplers in my rig box at work, but not at home.
Staring at what's in the go-bag, and forgetting what's in the big case made me stooopid.

Same idea but a lot cheaper, H&H Specialties Batten clamp plus shackle and GAC.

A batten clamp is the best way, but you were on the right track.

Historically, a wiki: pipe stiffener was used to prevent the pipe from rotating.
