Bluetooth extender

We are about to do a run of Pinocchio and I'm looking to have a voice come from the log, before he is carved into Pinocchio. We have a few nice bluetooth speakers in the space and I was looking at putting one of them in the log, but will end up needing a bluetooth extender, something like this, because we currently would *just* get coverage without one. Has anyone had experience with using one of these extenders on stage?

Could Pinocchio Just say the lines? When I did it we just used Pinocchio's mic on and have it go through the sound system. You also don't have to use the mic depending on the size
