Nope, so long as all the bits and pieces are there, and it is an original Martin dongle, they will take it.
That was part of the appeal for my University. We had two old dongles that no longer functioned, and Martin couldn't repair them. Sent them in, paid for upgrades, waiting on brand new replacements.
