Cell Phone Flash Color Correction

Hi ControlBooth,
Here's a fun one- This morning, I was using my phone to take a picture and noticed the ghastly cold LED flash it uses in the dark. Has anyone tried to slip a gel over the flash to warm it up? If so, what color did you use?

There are plenty of filters out there for exactly this. If you know the color temperature of your flash it will be rather easy to get the right filter to take it to the desired color temperature. It is also possible to do flash filtering in most post processing software. In the old days of film photography, usually you put a filter over your lens instead of just the flash. This gives you a more even image. I certain manufacture we all know specializes in this: LEE Warm Up Filters and Special Effect Filters for Photographers.
