Chauvet Colorstrip!?

i just bought a chauvet color strip from sam ash. Unlike all my other lights it appears to have very basic dmx controls. only 4 channels. (i use D-pro as lighting control software). First channel is a drop-down box to select mode. 2,3, and 4 channels are unnammed and i can't figure out what they do.

it is impossible to control this light sensibly with my software for many reasons. one being when i trigger a scene in the live mode of my software it stays on after letting go of the trigger. I'm almost sure its because of that drop down box.

there is no literature or discussions of this i have been able to find by google searches. Am i missing something?

from the manual, it appears that channel 1 is the mode. Set channel 1 to value 215, then channel 2,3,4 are RGB respectively.

the first channel in appears in my software as a drop down box where i can select each mode. it isn't a slider or anything i can set to 215. Even if it was I want to use all the different modes to get chase effects and not just control RGB.

whenever i create a scene and trigger it the lights remain on because there was no dimmer information in that scene.

You can always write a new profile from scratch, it isn't too hard with that software via their website.
