Computer DMX Control

What's The cheapest way for me to control DMX from my Mac laptop? I want to be able to write cues and play them back.

I have a small two scene preset with midi INS and outs and a midi to USB cable. Could I use that? If not what's the cheapest option?

Google will turn up tons of opensource / open designs one of which is usbdmx.com : The bus powered usb dmx interface : Home Page... they are all readily available.

If you are a programmer you can use the sunlite developers version and program your own files... this is the company Martin used for their version 1 and 2 Lightjockey dongles
