Not entirely new to the site--been lurking on it off and on for a couple weeks now--but finally decided to register. Seems like a pretty cool community here. A bit about myself: I'm about finished with a BA in technical theatre at UW Madison. I'm a bit older than the average student at 33, didn't go to college until 25 and only been going part-time while I work and raise me kids. I am currently working for ETC--soldering lots of connectors and such, woot! I also moonlight as a lighting designer/board op/techie for a local band that tours around Wisconsin during the weekends and I've been slowly building my lighting gear collection. Also have done some local crew work for various big acts that have come around here.
