The auctions have all closed. What remains is the administration of the TV repack and engineering approval, construction permitting and test/operation licenses for the new mobile spectrum installations.

The greased palm syndrome is possibly better illustrated by the "net neutrality" revocation. The spectrum auction was the result of a Congressional directive to the FCC to make some coin for the Treasury.

Either way the result of the political pissing contest is that nothing is getting done and lots of workers became financial fodder in the Border Wall War.
