granulated cork for sand (dust)

I am using granulated cork to simulate sand for a show. I have the stage covered with 3 of 4 inched of it. Looks great but am having a dust problem. I built a rig to sift the new cork with a vacuum. It took some of dust out of it. I have tried misting some water on it. I am still getting a lot of dust. Any thoughts on washing the cork or other solutions?

Could you pull it back out, take it outside and soak it the let it dry.
