Design halftone water gobo?

I've been on a search to find a water gobo I saw at the L.A. Natural History Museum in the giant whale hallway. I thought it must be a halftone template but the closest thing I've found is a b/w glass Rosco Template: R81120. We want to bathe the stage in it so for the 8 or so templates we would need, we'd be looking at $500 (gulp). Every gobo company makes halftone metal gobos but they only seem to make moons and clouds. Doesn't anybody make a halftone water?

Do you have a picture of the effect you'd like to recreate?

Rosco 81120, for point of reference.

Something at Apollo Design | Water Elements perhaps?

Thanks for posting that! I did find some photos of it online.
Anybody have an idea how to create this without spending over $500?
I should add that I did look up and they were using conventional fixtures with gel, so this was definitely some sort of gobo, but which one?

When projected from ERS fixtures, the following Textured Glass images refract and bend light into a number of useful effects. And with an MSRP of $34 each, a designer may mix and match a variety of styles for endless possibilities. There are also other styles available in a wide assortment of sizes for many other profile fixtures.
