i've used this forum in the past when doing research on stuff.
i am the official sound designer/manager for my school, and i also help out the lighting designer/manager when i can.
my school doesn't own any sound equipment (and hardly any lighting stuff for that matter), and we rent things every year for our musical productions. its rather frustrating to see $25 million from my school (its a private high school) go to a fieldhouse and nothing, absolutely nothing beyond the bare minimum go to the theater. our "theater" is not even a theater. its rather frustrating to see this crap. but now i am done rambling. sorry.
i am looking at going to college for music performance/education, but i am considering seeing if i can keep up my work in sound.
