Identify a socket replacement

Okay, I need to pick the minds of the group. Need a replacement for the pictured socket. Closest thing I found was Leviton 9878.

Would this be an acceptable replacement? If not, any ideas?

It's in a ceiling box for some of our house light. mounting hole distance is the critical part, I have plenty of box depth and how far it sticks out can vary slightly. Thanks!

I would think that the Leviton socket should work.

The Leviton you posted has a 2.28 inches for the mounting holes. How does that match up to the spacing in the base currently in use?

You should be able to find those at most hardware stores. E26 sockets are fairly common.

And I should think that at 40W, no parameter of the replacement socket is going to be controlling; anything that will fit will work.

Thank you all. I ordered the Leviton. measurements line up so I'm sure I won't have an issue.

Now to brush up on my plaster skills and I get to re-mount the plaster medallion that surrounds the socket once fixed.

Would be a little concerned about the wiring feeding the fixture & the rest of the lights. Looks like something not so good happened. The Leviton is a good socket, not seen before Full Compass as a lamp socket supplier, thanks will keep it in mind.
