I'm looking at 7 IEM systems for a client who also wants an antenna combiner. I was looking at the Sennheiser EW300IEMG3 and the only question remaining relates to the antenna combiner. The only kit I can find specifically for the 300s (G3IEMDIRKIT4) is only for 4 systems, not 7 like the client wants. Is there any easy way of combining 7 systems without upgrading to the AC3000 combiner or is it easier to just use 2 of the G3IEMDIRKIT systems? Can I just link one of the AC3 units from the kit into the other?

Sennheiser's website seems pretty terrible at explaining this at the moment

You would want to use two of the G3IEMDIRKIT. I am not certain about the AC3's.

You can use two of the Sennheiser units, and depending on the power they output, a passive combiner. You'll need to make sure it's 50 Ohm and rated for the output power.

You might also give Sennheiser USA a call directly--they are very friendly and may have other suggestions as well.

Like antenna splitting, antenna combining is vendor neutral, so there is not technical reason the AC3000 would not work, not any reason you could not use a Shure PA821 if you wanted. There may however be advantage in using the recommended combiner IF it also eliminates the plugpack supplies per transmitter...
