Interesting day.

Got started today. In a couple hours set up a test area with a generator for power in the back of my van.

31 one fixtures tested, inventories and a picture taken.

After two hours weather turned with rain and wind. Closed down and will be back at it tomorrow.

Here's the 76 fixtures we got the other day.

Note: Fixtures offered as it. No clamps or safely cables included. There is a quantity of C clamps available, mostly Altman but a few L & E and ETC.

Dead-shorting a circuit to find out what breaker it' is IS NOT the recommended way to find out! If a panel isn't properly marked, book some time with an assistant and a few test lights, find out and mark things properly.
I have no idea how this quote got into my queue but, since it is such good advice and a practical matter of safety and what NOT to do, I'm going to let it stay here. Please... know sometimes time is short, but, all you need is ONE faulty breaker to rear it's ugly head and expose itself when you LEAST expect it, and you could get seriously hurt, hurt someone else, and/or damage equipment. There's a contractor in Va who tests/ certifies breakers IN HIS LAB. This is not a field-testable action.

Also know that circuit breakers have a "trip curve" and will allow overload for a time which is inversely proportional to the actual degreed of overload -vs- time. As such, to keep them "dependable," larger form breakers like Mains have a HUGE tolerance for passing way more than their maximum rating. So were you to dead/ bolted short a circuit potentially the entirety of the service and then some may pass through your jerry-rigged "tripper" for quite some time before it decides enough is enough. Should your circuit or it's main both prove to be defective (And that happens) then the only thing standing between you and this red-hot glowing high resistance "tool" is potentially a 400 amp, or better, main fuse or breaker.

And ain't nobody got time for THAT.
A cheque? WOW haven't seen one of those for a while. All of my transactions are done by EFT these days. I means I don't have to go to the bank and I can get payments quickly. I am sure yo will have fun spending that on the toys for the job.

Curious if anyone let's the bid out a make the suppliers bid against each other? Unless the order if extremely specific?

I realize we want what we want but...

At any rate there's no way in heck I would yank out my smartphone to remote deposit a cheque that large... besides... handing that to a teller and being all cool about it really strokes my ego. Meanwhile, she can easily see all my past overdrafts LOL. So who am I kidding?
We used to have branches of the 4 major UK high street banks in our town. HSBC went first, followed by Nat West and now Barclay's are closing, leaving only Lloyd's, and I wouldn't be surprised if they follow suit. Nearest branches of the missing banks are now 7+ miles away. Not far in the great scheme of things, but far enough to make going to a physical branch a pain.

If Thom Hartman is to be believed and I do, there's only really 5/6 banks in the United States anymore. But under our system of not regulating capitalism, predatory banking (payday loans, title loans etc...) is an industry. heir lobby is quite formidable. We used to have NatWest, TD, HSBC, Chase, Manufacturers Hanover, (these last 2 merged in the 90's) Barclays, Wells Fargo, and then of course there's all the credit unions which I have no learned to embrace as, huge retail banks are rather set in their ways, in order to get a loan you must first prove you really do not need a loan LOL.

Whereas EFT just works. No limits or pre arrangements.

Every try Zelle? Most banks partake, the first transaction between any 2 parties must be under $200.00 and then individual banks set their own limits as to how much you may instantly transfer between 2 parties.

I'll be testing and inventorying this first load of gear this week.

Ah thank the heavens above... stage pin! I can't stand the way some theatres choose Twistlock.

I was asked about the used stuff.

Currently, to be brief, the following is available. All but a couple fixtures have working lamps and connectors. Connectors are mostly pin with a few Edisons thrown in. These fixtures do not have C clamps but there is a quantity of clamps available separately. At this time I don't have many color frames for the fixtures, but I'm sure there is a box or two at the theatre that will come my way shortly.

Reasonable offers considered. (Hint, the more you buy the cheaper it gets) Shipping from Virginia will be charged at cost.

6 - Altman 360Q
21 - " Par 64
7 - " Par 56
5 - " Par 46
5 - " 65Q
3 - " 165Q
6 - Kliegal 8" Fresnel
2 - " 6" Fresnel
2 - Altman 8' 4 circuit R40 sections with RGBA rondels.

There's a bunch of other odd ball fixtures you can see on the attached file. I have a picture of each fixture. Let me know the number of the tag and I'll send you the picture.
