Control/Dimming Light Board help

My high school has a strand 200 light board. this is not the plus model. we don't know how to program it at all. We got the manual and we are trying to change the patches. Its not working. Does anyone have experience with this board and can give us basic instructions on how to repatch it. we also have a monitor connected to it.
