m7cl Stagemix Taking forever!

This thing is starting to drive me nuts! It takes no less than 10 minutes to synch. Also It has been having problems with losing connection to the router and has a tough time reconnecting without a hard reset of the software. Help!

I also have a problem with losing my wifi connection due to the fact that i have to physically leave my mix position in a balcony to walk outside into our lobby, down the stairs and back inside to mix the downstairs area. During this journey I ALWAYS loose my connection and thus have a fun time waiting to reconnect while impatient vocalists stare at me slack jawed. Any ideas?

I'd check a couple things:

1) That the firmware in the console is up to date.
2) That the WiFi router isn't the problem -- reset it and see if that helps. Replace it if need be.

You can also add some wireless access points to give better wireless coverage around the venue to avoid dropouts.

which firmware is suggested? I'm currently running 3.5

What device are you running it on? My iPad2 is rock steady, but an iPad3 drops the connection all the time.

Make sure everything has a unique fixed IP address (commonly 192.168.1.xxx) and the same subnet mask (typically 255.255.255.0).

Use N instead of G if the router has it.

Turn off SSID broadcast (so every smart phone in the building does not try to connect it).
