Mic Selection

We will be installing a Listening Tech assisted listening system in our theater next year. Our stage is about 30' x 30' and for non-amplified shows, I'll need to hang mics over the stage to feed the system. What kind of mic would be a good (budget wise) choice? What is a good number of mics to cover this size space?

3 theatres in my area, including mine, all use a pair of Audio Technica Pro 45's. I have received compliments from those who use our system on how well it sounds. How are you planning on setting the system up? I really don't think phantom power would be an issue. Most equipment has it built in these days.

I second the thought of hanging the mics over the house. Most systems I have seen are set up this way. You have a better chance of duplicating what the rest of the audience hears, which is the goal of a listening assisted system.
