I've used the NSI MLC 16 quite a bit and know it inside and out. I can get them used for around 300 bucks.
It's the easiest board I've ever used for moving fixtures.
My question is what is an alternative that works just as well but maybe is a bit newer or better? The biggest appeal of the board aside from it's ease of use and how well it works is the price tag.
It's features like a GO button that really works between steps in a moving scene that you can half tap the tempo so you get smooth fades and then clear that tempo to have instant changes between scene steps that make me love this board. Grouping fixtures to move four lights on the fly with the little joystick.
