motion loops/ film fx loops

i really want i fx loop. i've been only seeing them for 500$-700$ is there any which way i could get one for a double digit budget?

Could you give us a little more to go on? Are you using a video projector? Is it computer driven? To get a good answer a little more info on your setup and desired outcome would be helpful.

If you just need it for one show then rental is an option.

Bear firmly in mind that if you're looking at a rental, usually the rental only gets you the "hardware", in this case the loop drive alone. The effects loop( the "software") is a perishable item, for sale only ( unless you've a friend in the shop). In the case of the GAM product, I believe they run $200 > $300.
