Looks cool, but
Allen and Heath makes it a no go right off the bat for a lot of people since they're pretty universally listed on riders as unacceptable consoles.
Universally unacceptable? A quick search for "Allen & Heath" and "tech
rider" brings up the following items (skipping DJ type setups with XOne mixers):
modern deep left quartet :: technical rider :: live :: wagon repair / ca

Through several pages of Google search results, every single tech
rider reference to Allen & Heath is asking for or accepting A&H consoles. So hardly universally unacceptable.
However, there are some tech riders that do exclude A&H. Some do so because there was a time in the past when A&H had some problems that
led to their being excluded in many tech riders, but that was some time ago. Some tech riders excluding Allen & Heath really seem to be trying to
address a more general issue and trying to exclude entry
level analog mixers in general, applying the poor practice of using brand names in general rather than identifying specific products. And some exclude Allen & Heath because of specific preferences in user interfaces or in the case of digital consoles, initial programming and/or using existing show files.
The other factor here is that the GLD is an entry
level digital mixer made to compete with the Roland M-400/480, Soundcraft Si Compact and
Yamaha LS9. While many of the applications of such consoles would not involve tech riders. Of course everyone is going to have their personal preferences and the SLD will probably not an acceptable alternative for tech riders calling for a PM5D,
Venue,
etc., but at least once it is proven in some actual use I don't see tech
rider acceptance being an issue compared to the direct competition.
