Hi all I would like star by saying I’m new to this forum and would like to say hi and introduce my self and ask a couple of questions. So first off I have been a stage hand with rhino staging for 5 years now in the northwest and absolutely love what I do I have also been doing contract work with Cristie lites for the past two summers. I m 23 and want to take my career to the next level, which for me would be to end up on tour with an arena act I don’t care who it is I just really want to get out on the road and experience it I didn’t go to collage but I’ve worked with big name acts as a local stage hand since I was 17 but it seems like landing a job on the road is more about who you know not what you know. Is that true or am I just being pessimistic. Secondly do you think that joining my local iatse would help me achieve my goals? I would like to thank you in advance for taking the time too read this and any advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
