New to lighting

Hi everyone, My town recently built a new Theatre and has a basic lighting setup. It has a Strand 200 console, optio 3 and 6 dimmer panels, 4 cyc's,4 short and 4 long barrel spots as well as 16 fresnels. All lights are Altman. They will be purchasing more lighting. Mainly traditional lights except for maybe a few rgb led for effect. I am the only person in my town that is learning and using this setup on a volunteer basis. I am having trouble figuring out how to program the fade in/out timing, read the manual and not really making sense any suggestions? Also, dmx is new to me and would like to be able to sync the lights with a live performance. What will I need? thank you in advance to those who reply

Welcome to CB! Good to have you here. You will want to post a more specific question in the Lighting Forum, so it is posted in the appropriate place. What do you mean by "syncing the lights with a live performance" . Enjoy CB!
