Shaving down some rubber wheels....

So, I decided to replace my pneumatic wheels/tires with some flat-free wheels. However, while a 8"x3" wheel "works", the fork curves in a bit too much at the top and the corner/side of the rubber now rubs making it very difficult to move the carts. Short of buying new wheels/tires again, how could I go about shaving the corners of these off to make them work?

No, I cannot return them.
I've tried routing, sanding, and hacking with a razor blade.

Using a wet knife blade helps (i.e. dip it in soapy water first).

Higher-tech, perhaps use an ultrasonic knife? I've never used one myself, but from what little I know I think it may stand a chance of working nicely. At any rate, if you're looking for an excuse to get a nifty toy, there it is.

Your focus should be on making the fork bigger.

You only gotta open it a tad I don’t think you would damage the fork unless you really beat on it.
If you went that route.
